Bonita Rangel

Bonita Sheree Phillips Rangel, age 54 of Tupelo, MS. formerly of Russellville, AL. passed away on Monday, February 20, 2017 in Tupelo, MS.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 2, 2017 6-9 PM at Akins Funeral Home Russellville, AL. She will lie in state from 12-1 PM March 3, 2017 at St. Paul’s CME Church prior to the funeral service. Funeral service will be Friday, March 3, 2017 at 1 PM at St. Paul’s CME Church, Russellville, AL. with Rev. Williams officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

Bonita is preceded in death by her parents Walker B. and Shirley Jo Phillips.

She is survived by her four children Brandon Cornelius Hart, Douglas Todd Saint (Destiny), Toshiana Shante Saint (Rebecca), and Zaul Rangel, four grandchildren Braylen Correll Hart, Taydon Deashaun Hammonds, Jayden Lamar Koeda Saint and Jorden O’neal Perry, her six brothers and sisters Wanda Nelson, Stewart Nelson, Vanessa Sharpley, Phyllis Phillips, Tyrus Phillips, and Tina Phillips (Robert D. Johnson), and a host of nieces and nephews.

Akins Funeral Home will be assisting the family.
