Maggie M. House Ward, age 97, Russellville, Alabama passed away on Thursday, February 21, 2013. The visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at Akins Funeral Home, Russellville, Alabama; the 2:00 p.m. funeral will be held on Sunday, February 24, 2013 in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Dennis Stewart officiating. Interment will be in Popular Creek Cemetery. She is preceded in death by her husband, William O. Ward; parents, Houston & Evelyn House; sister, Francis Holliman. She is survived by her son, Gene Ward & wife, Carolyn; grandchildren, Sheila Ward Underwood & husband, Greg, Duncan E. Ward & wife, Melanie; great grandchildren, Jake Ward & Kelbi Underwood. She was a member of Eastside Baptist Church. The family extends special thanks to Dr. Santos & staff & Terrace Manor Nursing Home & staff for their kind & considerate care of their mother & grandmother.
