Martha Wheeler

Martha Elizabeth Smith Wheeler, age 79 of Russellville, AL. passed away on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at her residence.

Visitation will be Friday, March 3, 2017 6-9 PM at Akins Funeral Home Russellville, AL. Funeral service will be Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 2 PM in the Chapel of Akins Funeral Home with Bro. Lonnie Oldag officiating. Burial will be in McWright Cemetery.

Martha was a member of Quinn Memorial Church of Christ.

She is preceded in death by her parents Lester and Minni Dora Smith, her brother Earl Smith, sister Daphine Copeland and brother in law Millard Copeland.

Martha is survived by her husband of 62 ½ years Nolon Wheeler Jr., son Greg Wheeler , daughters Joni Wheeler and Anna McCarley (Brian), sister Janice Riner (Douglas), six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and many much loved nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Pallbearers will be Hershel Garrison, Jaimie Copeland, Hudson Copeland, Jerry Hitt, Jimmy Hitt, and Doug Smith.

Akins Funeral Home will be assisting the family.
