Jacob Dewayne Malone

Jacob Dewayne Malone, 34, went to his forever home in heaven on April 17th, 2024. Jacob was born on November 11th, 1989 to Robin Fugate and Timmy Malone. He was married to his soul mate, Summer AnnaDeanna Malone, for almost 14 years. In 2010, they had his best friend, his son, Braxton Jacob Malone. Together they built a wonderful life full of love and laughter.

Jacob was a devoted and supportive husband and father. He spent his free time doing anything Braxton wanted to do. From hunting to racing, he made sure Braxton got to live his best life and made a lot of precious memories that will last a lifetime.

Jacob worked as a mechanic at R. Baker Inc. His love for working on vehicles started at a young age while working on cars with his late Papaw Bobby. If he didn’t know how to fix something he would tinker with it until he figured it out. He passed down his mechanic knowledge to his son as they enjoyed spending hours in the garage working on Braxton’s race car getting it ready for his next race. He was the best pit crew chief!

Jacob was known for dropping whatever he was doing to help anyone that called needing his help. Even though he is no longer with us on Earth, his legacy of helping people will live on as he was able to help many others through organ donation! He was and is a true hero!

He is preceded in death by his Papaw Bobby Malone, Mamaw Mary Malone, Uncle Bobby Glenn Malone, and Aunt Lynne Shook.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Summer Malone; son, Braxton Malone; mother, Robin (Donnie) Fugate; father, Timmy (Lisa) Malone; grandmother, Carolyn McClellan; mother-in-law, Debbie Hallman; father-in-law, Rocky Franks; siblings, Kalenna (Tom) Nichols, Jeremiah (Amber) Malone, Trent (Juanita) Fugate, Michael (Olivia) Fugate, Eric Fugate, Jason Duncan, Lindsay Davis, and Colby (Shaela) Franks; nephew and nieces, Ethan and Layla Nichols, Aiden and Miah Malone, Amyah Hamilton, Blayklee Franks, Konner, Kylee, and Karson Fugate, Hart, Hawken, and Vilan Fugate, Brysun, Julye, and Gabriel Fugate, Lincoln Davis.

Visitation will be Friday, April 26, 2024 at Akins Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be Saturday, April 27, 2024, 12:00 p.m. at Akins Funeral Home Chapel in Russellville, Alabama with burial to follow at the East Franklin Cemetery.

Pallbearer’s include: Trent Fugate, Tommy Rogers, Colby Baker, Andy Mcdowell, Tom Nichols, and Curtis Baker. Honorary pallbearer’s include: Ridge Brannon, Jason Duncan, and Kendric Baker.
