Billy Joe Burks, 64 years old of Phil Campbell, AL. passed away November 16, 2019.

Visitation will be Tuesday, November 19, 2019, from 10:00 am till Noon at Pleasant Hill FCM Church, Phil Campbell. Funeral Service will immediately follow at Noon with Bro. Joe Cagle and Bro. Darryl Whitehead officiating. Burial will be in Spruce Pine Cemetery.

Billy was born May 5, 1955 in Russellville, AL.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Maime Burks; his grandparents, Woody and Myrtle Burks; his uncles, Charles Burks, Claudie Dixon, Robert Burks, Woody Burks, and Clyde Hopson.

Billy is survived by his wife Georgette Burks; his children, Billy Joe Burks II (Obrey), April Burks (Melissa), and Jason Burks (Lynn); his sister, JoAnn Chaney; his grandchildren, Sarah Grace, Avery, Roxlynn, Bella, Jason, Alaina, and Austin; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Tracey Williams, Joe Cagle, Andy Stalter, Brittany Vines, Markie Williams, and Zac Williams.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Mark Williams, Tim Chaney, Jeff Chaney, and other nieces and nephews; his sons, Jason and Joey Burks; and his grandson, Austin Garrison.

The family would like to express gratitude to all who have reached out during this time. Thank you for your kind expression of sympathy and tribute to the memory of Billy Burks.
