Charles Davis Obituary
Charles “Chuck” Davis was born June 16, 1935 and he passed away September 2, 2018.
Visitation will be Wednesday, September 5, 2018 from 11:00 am until Noon at Akins Funeral Home, Russellville, AL. A Graveside service will immediately follow at 12:30 pm at Knights of Pythias Cemetery, Russellville, AL.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Sephus and Lilly Davis; his sisters, Marie Chambers, Virgie Bales, Willean Heartline, Shelia Ann Davis; and his son, Timmy Davis.
He is survived by his wife of 21 years Lucy Davis of Leighton, daughter, Darlene Calvert of Haleyville, stepsons, Tony Jones (Becky) of Leighton, Bo Jones (Regina) of Russellville, and Ralph Pennington of Russellville; stepdaughters, Mary Davis (Jimmy) of Tuscumbia, Deborah Howard (Mike) of Tuscumbia; his brother, Robert Davis (Mary) of Athens; his sisters, Patricia Overmyer (David) of New Mexico; and Shelby Mackly of North Carolina, 15 grandchildren, and 20 Great Grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the 4th floor nurses and the day and night shift ICU nurses at Shoals Hospital. A heartfelt thanks to Dr. Kenneth Rose.
