Earl Scott

Earl Scott, 81 years old of Rogersville, AL. passed away December 17, 2019 at his residence.

Visitation will be Friday, December 20, 2019 from 1:30 pm until 2:30 pm at Akins Funeral Home in Russellville, AL. Funeral service will immediately follow at 2:30 pm in the Chapel of Akins Funeral Home with Bro. Bud Hale officiating.  Burial will be in Cedar Tree Cemetery.

Earl was born on September 24, 1938 in Phil Campbell, AL to Caraster and Anna Lou Scott.

 He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Vernell Lawson and Jereldine Welborn; and his great granddaughter, Adalynn Joy Whaley.

Earl is survived by his wife, Rachel Scott; his children, Selena Ann James (Tommy) and Douglas Allen Scott (Jeanette); his siblings, Sue Nell Davis, Inez Ashley, Dorothy South, Jewel Eakin (Jim, Rosemary Pinkard (Nathan), and Wayne Scott (Joann); his grandchildren, Eric Wayne Saint (Meleania), Crendi Levi Diaz (Chris), Nicholas Allen Scott (Auriel), and Myranda Marie Whaley; and his great grandchildren, Kaitlyn Grace Saint, Briar Preston Whaley, Katherine Rose Saint, and Jonathan Diaz.

Pallbearers will be Eric Saint, Nick Scott, Tommy James, Chris Diaz, Vernon Ashley, and Rodney South.

Akins Funeral Home is assisting the family.
