Gwen Louise Sandusky, 68 years old of Russellville, AL passed away October 08, 2019, at her residence.  Visitation will be Monday, October 14, 2019, from 12:00pm - 2:00 pm at Akins Funeral Home, Russellville, AL.  Funeral service will be Monday, October 14, 2019, 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Akins Funeral Home with Bro. Robin Short officiating. Burial will be in Knights of Pythias Cemetery. . Gwen was born April 18, 1951, in Lepanto, AR. She was preceded in death by her mother and father Louie King and Nila Coots and her sister Brenda Brewer. Gwen is survived by her husband Charles E. Sandusky, her stepfather Lloyd Coots(Denby), her sons Jeromy Sandusky (Vicky), Jason Sandusky (Jun), her sisters Judy Ortman (Ron), Kay Huspeck, her brother Lee Coots (Marlene) and 4 grandchildren Austin, Brianna, Mia and Antonio Sandusky. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Special thanks to Hospice of North Alabama for the compassion and care given to her during her illness. Akins Funeral Home is assisting the family.
