James Weeks

James “Jim” Weeks, 99 years old of Phil Campbell, AL. passed away August 18, 2017.

Visitation will be Monday, August 21, 2017 from 6-8 pm at Akins Funeral Home, Russellville, AL.  Funeral Services will be Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at 10 am at Union Hill Methodist Church.  Burial will be at Union Hill Cemetery.  Officiating will be Bro. Darrel Rambo, Bro. Corey Cochran and Bro. Chance Steen.

Mr. Weeks was born September 25, 1917 in Phil Campbell, AL. to Joe and Zue Weeks.  He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Winnie K. Weeks, children Louise Slagle (Robert) and Alline Brandon (Roland), his siblings Earl Weeks (Maggie), Johnny Weeks and Mary Frances Weeks and his son-in-law Henry Wimberley.

Mr. Weeks is survived by his daughters Elouise Wimberley and Jean Herman (Karl), 18 Grandchildren, 33 Great Grandchildren, 23 Great- great Grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
