Jessie Lee Purser

Jessie Lee Purser, 65 years old of Phil Campbell, AL. passed away December 22, 2019.

Visitation will be Friday, December 27, 2019 from 6 pm- 8 pm at Akins Funeral Home, Russellville, AL. Funeral service will be Saturday, December 28, 2019, 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Akins Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Duboise officiating.  Burial will be in Chestnut Ridge Cemetery.

Jessie was born January 20, 1954 in Alabama to Grady J.C. and Dorothy Purser.

 He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Lois Long; and his brother- in- laws, Dempsey Long and Greg Woodard.

Jessie is survived by his wife, Mildred Olean Purser; his daughter, Lisa (Brandon) McClease ; his siblings, Gloria (Bob) Rollins, J.C. Purser, Dorothy Woodard, Brian Purser, Katheryn Crittenden, and Edward Purser (Casey Haynes); and his grandchildren, Adrianna McClease and Hayden McClease.

Pallbearers will be William “Petie” Long, Nick Long, Joe Lee Mears, Charles Crittenden, Tyler Jones, Josh Woodard, Rodney Jackson, and Tommy Watson.

Honorary pallbearer is James Michael.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Davita Dialysis, Kindred Home Health, Compassion Home Care, and Mrs. Carolyn Frye.
