Lexie Evelyn Ergle Smith, 90 years old, formerly of Phil Campbell, AL. and recently of Waynesboro, TN., passed away August 22, 2018 at Waynesboro Health and Rehabilitation.
Visitation will be Saturday, August 25, 2018 10:00 - 11:00 am at Akins Funeral Home, Russellville, AL. The funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Akins Funeral Home with Timothy Ferguson officiating. Burial will be in Blue Springs Cemetery.
Lexie was born August 27, 1927 in Phil Campbell, AL. to James and Zada Ergle.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Walker Smith; her second husband, Alec Turzai; her son, Billy Walker Smith; her brothers, Cleston Ergle and Ted Ergle.
Mrs. Smith is survived by her children, Regina Evelyn Smith, Terry P. Smith (Polly), Ralph M. Smith (Norma), Myron M. Smith (Shelly); her siblings, Peggy Liles, Helen Garner (Jim), Willie Ergle, Robert Ergle, and Dwight Ergle; Fourteen Grandchildren; Seventeen Great Grandchildren; and Two Great- great Grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
Akins Funeral Home is assisting the family.
