Michael Jones Obituary

Michael Wayne Jones, 47 years old of Russellville, AL. passed away August 31, 2018 at Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital.

Visitation will be Sunday, September 2, 2018 from 12:30 pm -2:30pm at Akins Funeral Home, Russellville, AL. The funeral service will immediately follow at 2:30 pm in the Chapel of Akins Funeral Home with Bro. David Jones and Bro. Johnny Hood officiating. Burial will be in Knights of Pythias Cemetery.

Michael was born February 23, 1971 in Birmingham, AL. to James Edward “Buddy” and Linda Hester Jones.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jesse W. and Margie Hester and George and Flossie Jones.

Michael is survived by his parents; his children, Abby Jones and Alex Jones (Evelyn Swinney); his brother, James David Jones (Laura); his nephew, Joel Jones; and his niece Katy Jones.

Pallbearers are Terry Dempsey, Don Killen, Lane Blaxton, Joel Jones, and Perry Dempsey.
