Peggy J (Goodwin) Whitfield

Peggy J. Whitfield, 79 years old of Russellville, AL. passed away January 23, 2018 at her residence.

Visitation will be Friday, January 26, 2018 from Noon -2 pm at Akins Funeral Home, Russellville, AL. The funeral will immediately follow at 2 pm in the Chapel at Akins Funeral Home with Bro. David Motes officiating.  Burial will be in Franklin Memory Gardens.

Peggy was born January 9, 1939 in Tennessee to R.T. and Lizzie Mae Goodwin.

 She was preceded in death by her husband; Wayne Whitfield, her parents, and five siblings.

Peggy is survived by her son; Steve Whitfield, her daughter Pam Whitfield Akins, her two sisters; Sue Nelson, and Myrtle Grace,  her grandchildren; Casey Akins Fuller (Eric), Amy Akins (Phillip Hamilton), Skyla Whitfield, and Serena Whitfield, and her great grandchildren; Caylin, Emma Cait, Kyndel , Mason, and Landyn.

Akins Funeral Home is assisting the family.
