Ruth Smith, age 83, Russellville, AL passed away Tuesday, April 02, 2013 at her residence.
The visitation will be from 6-8 pm Thursday, April 04, 2013 at Akins Funeral Home, Russellville, AL; the 11am funeral service will be held on Friday, April 05, 2013 in the funeral home chapel with Bro. James McCullar, Bro. Dennis Steward, Bro. Roger Bond officiating. Interment will be in Franklin Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Rodney Smith, Joey Smith, Trevor Hallmark, Kelby Hallmark, Cody Smith, Jacob Smith; honorary pallbearers will be Daniel Smith, Caleb Smith.
She was preceded in death by husband, Vennie Smith; parents, John Henry & Nancy Searcy; daughter-in-law, Vikki Reed Smith; grandchildren, Jimmy Don Frederick, Hannah Smith; several siblings.
She is survived by sons, Dwayne Smith & wife Janice, Bill Smith & late wife, Vikki Reed Smith, Gary Smith & wife, Cyndi; step-son, Herman Smith & wife, Barbara; sister, Johnnie Vandiver; brother, Louie Searcy & wife, Marcelene; grandchildren, Rodney Smith, Janna Hallmark, Barbara Smith, Joey Smith, Jennifer West; great grandchildren, Trevor Hallmark & fiancée Tiffany, Kelby Hallmark, Cody Smith, Jacob Smith, Caleb Smith, Kamri Sears, Daniel Smith, Sydnee West, Audree West, Kira Smith, Will Bostic, Katie Bostic; a host of nieces & nephews.
She was a member of Siloam Missionary Baptist Church.
