Jackie Mashburn

Jackie Ford "Sandrock" Mashburn, age 82 of Phil Campbell, passed away April 3, 2025 at Terrace Manor Health and Rehabilitation in Russellville.

He was born on May 19, 1942 in Phil Campbell to Grady and Lorene Jackson Mashburn. Jack will be remembered for his work ethic, honesty, and integrity. He was an avid fisherman and gardener and was good to help people when they needed it. Jack loved his family dearly.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Akins Funeral Home where the service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Brother Greg Corble officiating. Burial will be in the East Franklin Cemetery.

Jack is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 57 years, Gertha Mashburn; son, Grady Paul (Martha) Mashburn; brother, Jimmy Houston Mashburn; grandson, Aaron Paul Mashburn; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Grady and Lorene Mashburn; brothers, Russell "Hollywood" Mashburn, Travis Mashburn, Athel "Shorty" Mashburn; and sister, Judith Ann Morrow.
