Cora Lue Warhurst

Cora L. Warhurst, 100 years old formerly of Phil Campbell, AL passed away December 29, 2020.

Visitation will be Sunday, January 3, 2021 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Union Hill Methodist Church. Funeral service will immediately follow at 2:00 pm with Bro. James McCullar and Bro. Ricky Phifer officiating. Burial will be in Union Hill Cemetery.

Cora was born January 1, 1920 in Spruce Pine, AL to Thomas and Van Carpenter.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John “Dood” Warhurst; her sisters, Pearl Phifer, Lillie Crockett, Dovie Thomas, Lucy McMicken, and Grace Wynn; and her brothers, Grady Carpenter, Walter Carpenter, Claude Thomas, Carpenter, Charlie Carpenter.

Cora is survived by her nephews, Ron Thomas, Wayne Crockett, and Tommy Crockett; her niece, Willie Mae Sparks; her special friend and caretaker, Bobby Hardin; and a host of great nieces and nephews.
