David Motes

David Motes, 29 years old of Phil Campbell, AL. passed away February 20, 2021, at his residence.

Visitation will be Saturday, February 27, 2021, 10:00 am until 1:00 pm at Akins Funeral Home, Russellville, AL. Funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of Akins Funeral Home.  Burial will be in Blue Springs Cemetery.

He was born October 20, 1991, in Franklin County, AL to Rodney and Angie Motes.

He was preceded in death by his dad and his grandparents, Mary and Kelsey Motes.

David is survived by his mother, Angie Motes; his siblings, Cierra (Shannon) Bray, Austin Motes, and Haley Bass; his nieces and nephews, Skyler and Braxton Kennedy and Kourtney and Kolton Bray.

Pallbearers will be Kyle Posey, Rile Hughes, Cody Hammond, Matt Parker, Jay Grissom, Nathan Duncan, Elijah Beaulieu, Austin McAfee, and Andrew Frederick.

Honorary pallbearers will Kasey Wright, Derick Duncan, Jermiah Malone, Josh Elliott, Matt Elliott, Mitchell Elliott, and Rick Lindsey.

Akins Funeral Home is assisting the family.
