Dick Frederick Smith, age 84, of Killen, passed away on Friday, May 26, 2023.
He is survived by his daughter, Cathy Reathford (Shawn); son, Mike Smith; step daughters, Sena Litzenberg, Terri Sue Crittenden (Johnny) (Katie, Lewis, Eric, Blinn); Amy Vargas (Francisco) (Andrew Vargas, Nicholas Vargas, Greg McWilliams); sister, Patsy Horton; grandchildren, Jessie Green (Sydney), Anna Montoya (Max), Brock Reathford; great grandchildren, Coleman Jack Green, Rhett Borden; nieces, Betsy Powell (Pat), Susan Sibley; great nieces and nephews, Blake Powell, Jim Sibley, Olivia Sibley.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Laura Ellen Smith; father, William Roy Smith; mother, Helena Smith; brother-in-law James M. Horton.
Visitation will be on Sunday, May 28, 2023 from 1 pm – 3 pm at Akins Funeral Home, Russellville, Alabama. A graveside service will follow at Knights of Pythias. Bro. Stan Dean and Bro. Shawn Reathford officiating.
