Doris Elouise (DuBoise) Brown

Doris Elouise DuBoise Brown, 78 years old of Russellville, AL. passed away September 10, 2021, at the Haleyville Health Care due natural causes.

Elouise will lie in state one hour prior to the service at Oak Grove Freewill Baptist Church.  Graveside service will be Saturday, September 18, 2021, at 11:00 am at Oak Grove Cemetery with Christopher Borden, Bro. Randall Tice, and Bro. Sammy Swinney officiating. If the weather does not permit, the service will be held inside the church. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Elouise was born February 3, 1943, in Phil Campbell, AL to William T. “Bill” and Inez Newell DuBoise.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald Gene Brown; her grandson, Henry Max “Ben” Coker, III; and her brother, James DuBoise.

Elouise is survived by her daughters, Donna Brown Borden (Dale), Deborah Donelle Brown, and Dewonna Lynn Mashburn; her grandchildren, Christopher Borden (Emily), Terri Beth Coker Goodman (Jake), Arron Paul Mashburn (Anna); and Henry Max “Ben” Coker III (deceased).

Pallbearers will be Dale Borden, Jerry DuBoise, Aaron Mashburn, Bro. Sammy Swinney, Bro. Randall Tice, and Bro. Tim Baggett.

Honorary pallbearers will be David Stevens and Jerry M. DuBoise III.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Haleyville Heath Care, Tracy Hooker and her wonderful staff, and Asercare Hospice for taking such great care of our mother.  

In lieu of flowers and gifts, the family requests donations be made to Haleyville Healthcare Residents Activity Fund; 2201 11th Ave. Haleyville, AL 35565, in memory of Elouise.
