Girtha Kuykendall Obituary
Girtha Bentley Kuykendall, 83 years old of Red Bay, AL. passed away August 26, 2022, at Generations of Red Bay Nursing Home.
Visitation will be Wednesday, August 31, 2022 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Cedar Creek Baptist Church. The funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00 pm with Jerry Ginn officiating. Burial will be in adjoining cemetery.
She was born December 2, 1938, in Franklin County, AL.
Girtha was preceded in death by her parents, Roney and Gracie Bentley; her son, Joey Ray Kuykendall; and her brothers, Harold Bentley and Billy Bentley.
She is survived by her son, Chris Kuykendall; her sister, Joyce Bates; her grandchildren, Joey Kuykendall, Jr., Jason Kuykendall (Amanda), and Kristin Spann (Drake); and her great grandchildren, Kaylee, Gracie, Brandee, Caroline, Jaxon; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Joey Kuykendall, Jr, Jason Kuykendall, Shannon McCalpin, Michael McCalpin, Chris Bentley, and Cody Scruggs.
Akins Funeral Home is assisting the family.
