James Bray Obituary

James William Bray born on October 9, 1936  passed away Wednesday January 25, 2023 at the age of 85. He was a Franklin County school bus driver for 25 years and a retired preacher as well as an ordained minister. He is preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Nina Lou Bray. His son Michael Bray. Two Great Grandchildren Alex Pinkard and Jagger Mills as well as one Great Great Grandchild, Jovi James. He is survived by his wife Emma Jean Mathis Bray. His daughter Debbie Hardy (Pete) as well as step daughters Callie Collum (Scott) and Tonya Christopherson (Carl). Grandchildren, Misty George (Bryne), Amy Elkins (Tony), Julie Howard (Adam) and Brock Williams (Brandi). Step Grandchildren, Nash Collum, Ben Jennings (Kayla), Tyler Collum (Megan), J.D Jennings, John Christopherson (Heather) , David Christopherson (Heather) and Sarah Christopherson. Eleven Great Grandchildren and one on the way as well as two Great Great Grandchildren.  Visitation will be Saturday  January 28, 2023 at Akins Funeral home from  6:00 -8:00. The funeral will be held at Blue Springs Free Will Baptist Church on Sunday January 29, 2023, he will lie in state from 11:00 – 1:00 the funeral will begin at 1:00 with Bro. John McCullar officiating.
