 Joyce Ann George, 72, of Russellville, passed away Sunday, January 29, 2023, at her residence. Visitation will be Thursday, February 2, 2023, from 6-9, at Akins Funeral Home, Russellville, AL. Funeral will be in the chapel at 12 on Friday, February 3, 2023. Burial will follow at King Cemetery, Wolf Springs, AL. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Jorle Clifton and Lucy Ann Chaney Mears; four brothers, RB, Billy, Joel and Gurney; and one sister, Janie Merle. Survivors include three sons, Anthony (Pam), Brad, Brandon (Kris); one daughter, Joyce Patrice Pounders; 10 grandchildren, Meg (Micha), Ashley (Justin), Amber (Anthony), Kayla, Justin (Sam), Tosha (Justin), Brian (Tanya), Braydyn (Ivy), Samantha and Ky; and 18 great grandchildren. Akins Funeral Home is assisting the family.
