Mary Ruth (Ergle) Weeks Williams

Mary Ruth Ergle Weeks Williams, 89 years old of Phil Campbell, AL. passed away February 27, 2021 at her residence.

Visitation will be Sunday, February 28, 2021, Noon until 2:00 pm at Akins Funeral Home, Russellville, AL. Funeral Service will immediately follow at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Akins Funeral Home with Bro. John McCullar officiating. Burial will be in Blue Springs Cemetery.

Mary was a member of Blue Springs Free Will Baptist Church.

She was born February 10, 1932, in Franklin County, AL to John Sherman and Ada Mae Ergle.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Louis Weeks and Frederick Lowell Williams; her siblings, Edgar Ergle, Cordelia Andres, Cecil Ergle, J.D. Ergle, M.C. Ergle, H.D. Ergle, Nina Lou Bray, Lloyd Ergle, and Bonnie Ergle; her step-daughter, Geraldine Waller; and her son-in-law, John Howard; and step-son-in-law,  C.D. Waller.

She is survived by her children, Fredia Jean Howard, Charlene (David) Tidwell, Shelia Kay (Frankie) Tidwell, Reba Faye (Brian) Pierce, and Danny Louis (Wendy) Weeks; her step-children, Larry (Debbie) Williams, Judy (Leldon) Taylor, and Debra Borden; her brother, Milton (Josephine) Ergle; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Robbie Tidwell, Bradley Tidwell, Nikki Howard, Craig Howard, Tim Farley, and Kevin Hamby.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Shannon Oliver and Jondon Stough.

Akins Funeral Home is assisting the family.
