Melisa Gail (Staggs) Rikard

Melisa Gail  Staggs Rikard, 65 years old of Phil Campbell, AL. passed away January 16, 2022 at her residence.  

Visitation will be Thursday, January 20, 2022 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Akins Funeral Home, Russellville, AL. The funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00 pm in the Chapel with Dr. Wade Wallace officiating. Burial will be in Bethany Cemetery.

She was born February 5, 1956, in Russellville, AL to Glen and Carolyn Staggs.

Melisa was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Jason Staggs; and her grandson, Ben Braley.

She is survived by her husband, Eric Rikard; her children, Chris Braley, Brandon Rikard, Coty Rikard (Breanna), and Erica McCulloch (Montrae); her sisters, Pattie Powell (Ron) and Carol Bradstreet; her grandchildren, Jasmine, Brandi, Haylee, Bri, Brody, Addison, and Zavier; and her great grandchildren, Connor and Carly.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Ashley, Kalon Vincent, Keith Wallace, Barclay Wallace, Will Richardson, and Nick Howard.

Akins Funeral Home is assisting the family.
