Mildred O Purser

Mildred O. Purser, 61 years old of Phil Campbell, AL. passed away October 2, 2021, at Russellville Hospital.

Visitation will be Tuesday, October 5, 2021, from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Akins Funeral Home, Russellville, AL. The funeral service will immediately follow at 1 pm in the Chapel of Akins Funeral Home with Bro. Gary DuBoise officiating. Burial will be in Chestnut Ridge cemetery.

She was born March 31, 1960 in Alabama.

Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Purser; her mother, Mildred Michael; and her brothers, Roy Geans and Larry Joe Geans.

She is survived by her daughter, Lisa McCleese (Brandon); her siblings, James Michael, Larry Jones, Brenda Michael, Paul Michael, Joyce Michael, and Lisa Michael; her special sister in law, Gloria Rollins; and her grandchildren, Adrianna McCleese and Hayden McCleese.

Pallbearers will be Brian Purser, Edward Purser, Tyler Jones, Rodney Jackson, William “Petie” Long, Tommy Watson, and Joe Lee Mears.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the ICU nurses at Russellville Hospital and Pat Barnes for her special care.
