Ola Ray (Hutto) Garrett

Ola Ray Hutto Garrett, 92 years old of Russellville, AL. passed away September 2, 2020.

Visitation will be Saturday, September 5, 2020, 6 pm- 9pm at Akins Funeral Home, Russellville, AL. The funeral service will be Sunday, September 6, 2020,  at 2 pm in the Chapel of Akins Funeral Home with Bro. Greg Pace officiating. Burial will be in Penny Cemetery.  

Ola was born September 12, 1927, in Lawrence County, AL to Walter and Virgie Hutto.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Abe Owens and Billy Garrett; and her son, Joe Watkins.

Ola is survived by her children, Racine (Ronnie) Chadwick, Ann (Dale) Cartee, Audrey (James) Pendergrass, Francine (Danny) Hill, Ray (Emelina) Watkins, Bobby (Karen) Owens, Barbara (Allan) Vigil, and Beverly Mishue; her sisters, Geraldine Carr and Nadine Harville; 34 grandchildren, 57 great grandchildren; and 20 great - great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Abe Scott, Jeremy Burfield, Ray Watkins, Eric Suttles, Michael Reeves, and Joshua Reeves.

Akins Funeral Home is assisting the family.
