Tyrus Phillips Obituary

Tyrus Theodore Phillips, 54 years old of Florence, AL. passed away September 24, 2018 at Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital.

The funeral service will be Saturday, October 06, 2018, 3:00 pm at Good Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Florence, AL with Pastor Walker Wingo officiating. Burial will be in Good Hope Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.

Tryus was born October 13, 1963 in Russellville, AL. to Walker and Shirley Jo Phillips.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Bonita Sheree Phillips Rangel and Wanda Nelson.

Tyrus is survived by his children, Taylor Tamar Phillips and Tyler Terrell Phillips; his grandchildren, Kendall Jamar Steele and Karters Jordan Woessner; his siblings, Stewart Nelson, Vanessa Sharpley, Phyllis Phillips, and Tina Phillips (Robert D. Johnson); special friend, Freda Campbell; host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives; and dear friend Mr. Destry Oates.

Pallbearers will be Jameel Roberson, Eric Fuqua, Larry Freeman, Tracy Koger Jr., and Christopher Koger.

Flower Bearers will be Gila Roberson, Anna K. Williams, Laton Wingo, Tonya Fuqua, and Riffka Koger.
