Vernice (Rich) Thomas

Vernice Rich Thomas, 88 years old of Phil Campbell, AL. passed away July 20, 2020 at her residence.

Visitation will be Tuesday, July 21, 2020 from Noon until 2 pm at Union Hill Methodist Church. The funeral service will immediately follow at 2 pm with Bro. Coy Morgan and Bro. Harlon Hutcheson officiating. Burial will be in Union Hill Cemetery.

Vernice was a member of Union Hill Methodist Church.

She was born March 28, 1932 in Franklin County, AL.

She was preceded in death in by her parents; Fred and Bessie Taylor; her father, Jesse Rich; her husband, Tulion Thomas; her daughter, Mildren Thomas; her siblings, Lloyd Rich, Cloma Hyde, Evelyn Keplinger, and Martha Carter.

Vernice is survived by her children, Jerry Thomas (Kathy), Donnie Thomas (Carolyn), Larry Thomas (Katherine), and Jeffrey Thomas (Charlotte); her siblings, Robert “Bob” Taylor, Venice Maloney, Betty Williams (Charles), and Mary Sue Weeks (Kenneth); her grandchildren, Craig Thomas, Lee Ann Moore, Matthew Thomas, Brett Thomas, Autumn Thomas, and Trinity Thomas; and her ten great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Craig Thomas, Joey Norton, Matthew Thomas, Brett Thomas, and Joseph Moore.
