William Allen Meares

William Allen Meares, 87 years old of Russellville, AL. passed away February 8, 2022.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 10, 2022, beginning at 6:00 pm at Tharptown Friendship Holiness Church. The funeral service will Friday, February 11, 2022, at 2 pm, at Tharptown Friendship Holiness Church with Bro. Greg Pace and Bro. Wayne Dotson officiating. Burial will be in Rutherford cemetery.

Bro. William was a long time Pastor of Tharptown Friendship Holiness Church.  

He was born July 3, 1934, in Lawrence County to William Allen and Rosetta Meares.

Bro. William was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Helen Nolan Meares; and his son, Randy Meares.

He is survived by his daughter, Dimple Garrison (Lambert); his grandchildren, Patrick Meares (Robin), Brandi Garrison, Breanna Meares, and Hannah Meares; and his great grandchildren, Alexander, Bradley, Connor, Rylee, and Samuel.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nurses and staff at NHC.
