Faylene (Kerby) Shelnutt

Faylene Shelnutt, 71 years old of Phil Campbell, AL. passed away January 8, 2017 at Cottage of the Shoals.

Visitation will be Wednesday, January 10, 2018 from 6-8pm at Akins Funeral Home, Russellville, AL.  The funeral service will be Thursday, January 11, 2018 at 11:00 am in the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Darryl Whitehead officiating. Burial will be in Union Hill Cemetery.

Faylene was born July 20, 1946 in Lawrence County, Alabama to James Lois and Opal Marie Kerby.

 She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; William Audie Shelnutt, and her brothers; Danny Kerby and Wade Kerby.

Faylene is survived by her son; David Shelnutt, her siblings; Rachel Roden (Curtis), Jimmy Kerby (Patsy), Peggy Sims (Clayton), Mikan Kerby (Jacqueline), her granddaughter; Felicia Taylor (Josh), great grandchildren; Alayna Taylor, sister in law; Gloria Kerby Shelton,  and a host of nieces and nephews.
