So sorry to just now hear of Mr. Mashburn’s passing. My husband, Ace, shared a room with him at South Hampton Nursing Facility. He was such a nice roommate. I used to bring little cups of ice cream to them every day, chocolate for my husband and vanilla for him. He was always happy to see me. He was proud to be a veteran. The day my husband passed they moved him to the living room. When I left I hugged him and he had tears in his eyes and told me he was sorry. He was a very nice gentleman and I express sympathy for his family.
