Ronald Townsend

Ronald Ray “Bruiser” Townsend, age 51 of Phil Campbell, AL. passed away Friday, March 24, 2017 at Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 29, 2017 from Noon until 2PM at Akins Funeral Home, Russellville with the Funeral services immediately following at 2PM in Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. James Williams and Bro. Jim Lumpkin officiating. Burial will be in Blue Springs Cemetery.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Elsie Townsend, his sisters Nell Saylor, Sandi Williams, and Debbie Salters, and brother Edward Townsend.

Ronald is survived by his son Will Townsend, brothers Brian Baker (Alicia) and Jack Baker (Brenda), and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Nicholas Baker, Cory Gable, Chris Saylor, Dylan Windom, Chase Kimbrough, Drake Kimbrough, Dylan Williams, and Marcus Lyons.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make donations to Akins Funeral Home for funeral expenses.

Akins Funeral Home will be assisting the family.
